In the summer of 2009, Josh won the men’s 3,000 meter steeplechase at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Eugene, Oregon. The victory brought him his second career national title in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 8 minutes, 29.91 seconds and secured his second Team USA roster spot for a World Outdoors Championship. He was also the 2007 USA Outdoor champion, the 2007 Pan American Games champion, the 2006 NCAA Outdoor champion, placed 8th at the 2005 USA Outdoors and 9th at the 2005 NCAA Outdoors.

In 2008, he competed at the Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. His classmates at SCO have enjoyed seeing him interviewed on ESPN and in commercials over the last year. As an SCO student, he has competed well and won several regional races. A native of Broadview Heights, Ohio, McAdams began his collegiate career at Belmont University in Nashville before transferring to Brigham Young University, where he was accepted to SCO after his graduation from BYU.
